Youth Artists Festival

Welcome to the Khoros Kids Website!

Khoros Performing Arts Company for Kids, Inc., also known as The KHOROS KIDS, was established as a community based non-profit cultural organization in 2002. KHOROS evolved from The Creative Language and Youth Drama Program established in 1982 based in Old Forge, NY during the summer season. For the past four years KHOROS has been collaborating with The Skaneateles Community Center in Skaneateles, NY offering an after school theater arts program, ‘Curtain Call, during the fall and winter seasons. Patricia Rickard-Lauri is the founder and artistic director of Khoros Performing Arts Company for Kids, Inc.

The population of KHOROS is from ages six through young adult inclusive of hearing and deaf youth. Older participants are trained to become mentors to the younger participant in all aspects of the performing arts and sign language.

KHOROS' philosophy is that children, teens and young adults are inherently creative, best taught when encouraged to and draw outside of the box, tap into their own creative skills and express it through musical theater.
